Unique, Rare Vintage Louis XV French Provincial Lingerie Chest

‘The Never-Ending Story’ by Artist Kim Hansen

Dixie Belle Paint Company saw my work on social media and reached out to me because they were ‘so impressed with my work.’ They wanted to know if I would be interested in trying their products. If so, they would send everything I needed to complete a project right down to the brushes. Well ~ of course, I would!! I was so flattered.

I immediately set out on a mission to find the perfect piece. I was thinking a vintage tall chest of drawers or lingerie chest. We were so lucky to find this rare Louis XV French Provincial lingerie chest at a local thrift store. (See before picture.) So, we brought it home. To transform her I used Dixie Belle’s Chalk Mineral paints – Vintage Duck Egg, Farmhouse Green, Buttercream, Bronze Patina to age her, applied Re-design with Prima transfers and sealed her with Dixie Belle Clear Coat Satin. Original hardware has been slightly touched up with Buttercream and Bronze Patina. Dovetail drawers. Solid piece.
